The largest seniors festival in the Southern Hemisphere is coming to Deniliquin, and there’s so much to see and do.

Themed ‘Love to Celebrate’, the 2020 NSW Seniors Festival is being presented by the Edward River Council in partnership with the Deniliquin U3A branch and Intereach.

The following free events will be held in the Edward River region:
• Downtown Abbey Movie Screening: 2.00pm on Friday, 14 February at the Deniliquin Intereach office.

• Tai Chi and Meditation Class: 9.30am on Friday, 21 February at Waring Gardens, Deniliquin. BYO chair.

• South West Music Concert: 2.00pm on Sunday, 23 February at South West Music. Talented local musicians will be performing an afternoon concert.

Edward River Council Mayor Norm Brennan said that the NSW Seniors Festival was a great way to celebrate senior members of our community.

“With three terrific free events on offer for seniors in the Edward River region, this is a fantastic way for local seniors to meet new people and catch up with old friends,” Cr Brennan said.

“The events on offer have something for everyone, from movie fans to those looking for some fresh air and exercise as well as some outstanding local music.”

“I would encourage all seniors in our community to get along and take advantage of what is on offer.”

The 2020 NSW Seniors Festival runs from Wednesday, 12 February to Sunday, 23 February 2020.

Bookings for all events in the Edward River region are essential and can be made by calling 0400 110 749.
