ERC to Welcome Julia Druitt as New Manager Community & Economy

Edward River Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Julia Druitt as its new Community and Economy Manager.
A proud Deniliquin local, Julia was born and raised in the region before pursuing her education in Melbourne. She returned to Deniliquin in 2017 and has since been a passionate advocate for regional development and community engagement.
Julia has spent the past four years with Murray River Council’s Economic Development and Tourism Team. Most recently, she served as Economic Development Officer, and has also performed as Acting Manager for six months, where she led key initiatives to support local business growth and tourism.
Prior to this, Julia held roles at Intereach and the Deni Ute Muster. She holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Marketing.
“I’m thrilled to be stepping into this role with Edward River Council,” Julia said. “Deni is home - our families are here, and my partner Todd and I are excited to raise our daughter Georgie in the same vibrant community we grew up in.”
Julia is deeply involved in the local community, having served on the committees of several organisations including the Country University Centre Riverina, Deniliquin Rams Football Netball Club, Deniliquin Boat Club, and Deniliquin Growth Strategy.
Council CEO Jack Bond said that he is looking forward to Julia’s commencement in late June, “Julia’s local knowledge, expertise and passion for community development make her an outstanding addition to our leadership team,” said Mr Bond.
Edward River Council looks forward to working with Julia to continue building a strong, connected, and thriving community.
