Powerful New Exhibition Brings Anne Frank’s Story to Deniliquin
Published on 16 June 2025
Edward River Council is proud to announce the launch of a deeply moving exhibition, “Let Me Be Myself – The Life Story of Anne Frank,” opening to the public on June 20th and running until September 26th at the Peppin Heritage Centre Gallery.
This internationally acclaimed exhibition offers a compelling look into the life of Anne Frank, connecting her personal experiences with the broader historical events of her time. Through photographs, personal writings, and interactive displays, visitors are invited to reflect on themes of empathy, resilience, and understanding — values that remain as relevant today as ever.
“This is more than just a history exhibition,” said Jack Bond, Edward River Council CEO.
“It’s a chance to see the world through Anne’s eyes and to be reminded of the power of courage and hope in the face of adversity.
“It’s an experience that will stay with you long after you’ve left the gallery.”
To mark the occasion, a special opening event will be held on Thursday 19 June from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Peppin Heritage Centre Gallery. The evening will feature guest speakers:
•Iet Fuijkschot, Executive Manager of Anne Frank Australia
•Frederik Fuijkschot, Secretary and Director of Anne Frank Australia
They will share insights into Anne Frank’s life and the significance of the exhibition. Everyone is welcome, and those wishing to attend can RSVP via the booking link at trybooking.com/DCMTL
