Edward River Council has clearly articulated its advocacy priorities for 2024-2025, identifying six priority areas crucial for the region’s development.
The launch of Council’s Advocacy Plan 2024-25 provides a strategic roadmap detailing advocacy priorities over the next two years and explains how Council will engage with government and industry partners to foster long-term, sustainable growth for the community and economy.
Work on these priorities, each aligned with both State and Federal government objectives, aims to attract funding and support to further enhance the community's well-being and contribute to the region's prosperity.
The six advocacy priorities outlined in the Advocacy Plan are:
Mayor of Edward River, Cr Peta Betts says that Council is actively advocating with partners and decision-makers to bring about economic and social benefits for Edward River.
“Council’s focus is to advocate on behalf of our residents to address regional challenges and capitalise on opportunities through ongoing engagement with decision makers, peak bodies and community groups,” said Cr Betts.
The Advocacy Plan 2024-25 is a testament to the Council's commitment to driving sustainable growth and fostering a prosperous future for the Edward River community and beyond.
