Edward River Council’s Community Compost Giveaway
Edward River Council residents are invited to collect free compost at the Deniliquin Saleyards on Saturday 24 October 2026, between 8.00am to 2.00pm. Bring your ute, trailer, or DIY bags, buckets and shovels to take home quality compost for your garden. Council will have a loader on site to assist larger loads. Residents are asked to follow all traffic management directions, remain in their vehicles unless directed otherwise, and ensure all loads are covered before leaving the site. To help make sure there is enough compost for everyone, collection is limited to two loads per household. Please note that trucks are not permitted. The event may be postponed in the event of poor weather.
