Major Projects Program

Through the NSW Government’s Stronger Communities Fund, Edward River Council is investing $8.6 million into 12 infrastructure projects across the Edward River region.

The Stronger Communities Fund was established to provide recently merged councils with funding to kick-start the delivery of projects that improve community infrastructure and services.

The Major Projects Program is specifically aimed at funding larger scale priority infrastructure and services projects that deliver long-term economic and social benefits to communities.

Through our allocated projects, Council is addressing long-standing community priorities and delivering social, sporting and road infrastructure upgrades to meet the needs of our growing community.

All projects are planned to be completed by 30 June 2019. To ensure all these projects are delivered on time, we have packaged similar projects together and the sequence of the delivery planned.
