Originally known as Jubilee Park, its name changed to Memorial Park in 1947 as a memorial to those who served in World Wars I and II.
The park has three ovals and is home to the Deniliquin Rovers Football & Netball Club and the Deniliquin Cricket Association. The old brick water tower and chimney are what remains of Deniliquin's first permanent water supply built in 1882. A weir was constructed across the river and is still visible when water levels are low. The Federation Arch was erected in 2001 replacing the original one which had been destroyed in the 1960's by a wayward truck.
